Cancer Support Resources
Make cancer a team sport. Join a support group.
Through our affiliation with the Franciscan Cancer Center, patients have access
to a wide range of cancer-related support groups offered locally and throughout
the region including:
Cancer nurse navigator
At the Jane Thompson Russell Cancer Care Center all of us are dedicated to science
of medicine as well as the compassion of healing. That's why we offer services to
help the mind, body and spirit. Patients receive help from a cancer nurse navigator,
a registered nurse who guides helps guide patients through their cancer journey.
The cancer nurse navigator is located at the center Tuesdays through Fridays.

Community partnerships
Through our mission to create healthy communities, the Franciscan Cancer Center, along with the Jane Thompson Russell Cancer Care Center at St. Anthony, is pleased to participate as a sponsor and partner in numerous community events intended to educate the community about cancer prevention and early detection and raise funds for cancer research. Cancer resource center
The American Cancer Society Cancer Resource Center at St. Joseph Medical Center
is the first and only of its kind in Pierce County, representing a partnership between
Franciscan Health System and the American Cancer Society. Each week, the Cancer
Resource Center provides a staff member at the Jane Thompson Russell Cancer Care
Center
This provides support and information services to cancer patients and their families.
